Are we ready? Absolutely. Once again, Camaiore welcomes “È la Via dell’Orto”, and its historic center is set to transform, for an entire weekend, into a journey of greenery, taste and encounters.
On April 18 and 19, the 15th edition of the event takes place—one of the most anticipated spring events in Versilia. A simple walk along Via di Mezzo is enough to step into a different atmosphere: decorative gardens, creative installations and carefully curated details reshape the town and invite visitors to see it from a new perspective.
What to expect this year
This is not just a festival, but a true storytelling of the territory unfolding through the streets of the town. For this edition, “È la Via dell’Orto” expands with new guests, experiences and moments of connection.
A key highlight of 2026 is the artistic direction by Luca Calvani, a well-known actor and TV personality who, in recent years, has combined his artistic career with a strong focus on food and the promotion of Tuscan traditions.
He is now also involved in a personal project in Camaiore, where he shares a vision of seasonal, territory-driven cuisine—an approach he brings into the event itself, guiding the audience through talks, stories and experiences focused on food culture and nature.
For two days, the historic center of Camaiore becomes an immersive experience: decorative gardens set up in courtyards, streets and squares, stands with plants, seeds and local products, as well as many opportunities for interaction and discovery.
One of the most anticipated highlights is the Orto-Talk in Piazza XXIX Maggio, a dynamic space hosting chefs, experts and guests from across Italy, with live cooking shows and discussions on food and sustainability.
Creative workshops will also take place at Palazzo Tori-Massoni, offering hands-on experiences in botanical arts—from kokedama to cyanotype printing and floral compositions.
Among the guests, Licia Colò stands out, a well-known figure in environmental storytelling, alongside chefs and professionals from the local area.
Alongside the experiential side, sustainability and agricultural knowledge remain at the core of the event—a guiding theme that has made this festival a unique and meaningful appointment for the territory over the past fifteen years.
An event that tells the story of a place
“È la Via dell’Orto” is an invitation to slow down, observe and rediscover the value of simple things: the land, food and human connections.
An experience that every year transforms Camaiore into a small world of authenticity and nature, capable of attracting visitors and telling the true identity of Versilia.
