Under the Tuscan Sky. A Journey through Art, Nature and Wonder

Under the Tuscan Sky. A Journey through Art, Nature and Wonder

In Tuscany, art is not just something to observe — it’s something you stumble upon unexpectedly: in the alleys of a village, in the silence of a forest, or against a breathtaking view. It’s a continuous dialogue between human creativity and the beauty of nature, an invisible thread weaving together cities, rolling hills, and the sea.

Our journey begins in Carrara, where the brightness of marble transforms the historic center into an open-air stage. From June 13 to September 28, 2025, White Carrara will fill the city with works carved from the world’s most famous white stone. Sculptures, installations, and contemporary design show how an ancient tradition can still astonish with new and unexpected forms.

From there, we move into the Garfagnana, where deep woods and rugged landscapes host the MUDY. Once a research center, today it’s a museum home to more than two thousand works — but above all, to experiences. Workshops, projects, and activities invite children and families to share, play, and discover art together.

Just outside Lucca lies the Tenuta Dello Scompiglio, a historic estate turned into a vibrant hub of art, nature, and cuisine. Vineyards and olive groves meet contemporary installations, while the scents of the vegetable garden reach the table at the estate’s restaurant. It’s a place where time slows down, and surprises await around every corner.

Next comes Peccioli, a small hilltop town that has made art its very identity. More than eighty installations dot its streets and squares, from the towering giants watching over the hills to the new elephants arriving this summer. From the Palazzo Senza Tempo, designed by Mario Cucinella, the view stretches over a landscape like a living painting, inviting visitors on a treasure hunt under the open sky.

Finally, the Versilia coast. In Pietrasanta, the “little Athens” beloved by artists from around the world, creativity flows through its historic workshops and foundries. Summer 2025 is dedicated to Kan Yasuda: his sculptures — both monumental and weightless — will guide visitors from the town’s main square all the way to the sea, on a path that remains open until September 21.

Here, under the Tuscan sky, every stop becomes an encounter with beauty. Not just to admire, but to live. Because in Tuscany, art is not simply visited — it is experienced, discovered, and carried with you.
